Power reliability by area in Hyderabad

How stable is grid power, and how often do outages bite? Higher scores mean fewer and shorter interruptions.

How to read this: all 111 areas are scored 0–10 for power reliability from TSSPDCL supply patterns and feeder reliability, generalised to the locality. Every score is honesty-labelled — E Estimated (real data generalised to the locality) or J Judgment (analyst call, or only confirmable on a site visit). These are zone-level estimates, not project audits. For a project-level, personalised verdict, get your report.

Why power reliability varies across Hyderabad

Hyderabad’s grid is among the more reliable in urban India, but it’s under load. Summer 2025 pushed city demand toward ~5,000 MW (state peak ~16,800 MW), and residents reported more frequent cuts and multi-hour maintenance outages than the near-uninterrupted supply of a few years ago.

Established, well-fed localities ride this out with brief blips; peripheral and fast-densifying pockets on loaded feeders feel longer outages, especially in peak summer. A flat’s real experience comes down to its feeder and DG backup.

Power reliability in Hyderabad — FAQs

Which Hyderabad areas are best for power reliability?

The strongest areas on this estimate are Banjara Hills, Financial District, Jubilee Hills, Ameerpet, AS Rao Nagar (top of the table above). Scores are zone-level baselines — your exact project can differ.

Is power supply reliable in Hyderabad?

Broadly yes — it’s among India’s steadier metros — but summer 2025’s record demand (~5,000 MW for the city) brought more frequent cuts and maintenance outages, felt most on loaded peripheral feeders.

Do I still need an inverter or DG backup?

For most areas, yes for summer comfort. Gated communities usually offer DG backup — check whether it covers the whole flat or only common areas.
